Cold-Glazed Decorative Tiles

These tiles are decorated using the new digital printing technology with cold glazes and are intended exclusively for indoor wall coverings. The aesthetic and colour result is of the highest quality, but the decoration requires special care at every stage — from handling through to daily cleaning.

Digital Technology

Surface decoration with cold glazes, stabilised by very high-intensity UV lamps, with material relief of variable thickness.

High Aesthetic Value

High-quality decorative product designed for vertical surfaces: not suitable for intensive, abrasive or high-traffic use.

Scratch Resistance

The decoration is not resistant to contact with hard, sharp objects — metal, stone, glass or porcelain stoneware.

Important
The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the decoration caused by impacts or rubbing. Claims made after installation will not be accepted.

Permitted Applications

Interior Walls

Living spaces, bathrooms, feature walls and kitchen splashbacks, with a minimum distance of 20 cm from cooking areas.

Shower Enclosures

Use only full tiles or cut edges positioned around the perimeter and facing outward from the enclosure — never in contact with the shower tray.

Technical Note
Not suitable for floors, outdoor areas, or areas subject to heavy abrasion or high traffic. Always check the intended use carefully before specifying the product for a project.

Handling and On-Site Care

Precautions to observe even before installation begins.

Separate the Tiles

Always keep the protective film between the tiles to prevent rubbing when lifting them.

Avoid Abrasive Contact

Avoid contact with metal, stone, glass or porcelain stoneware. Prevent impacts and direct rubbing on the decorated surface.

Check Before Installation

Check the orientation and graphic alignment of the decoration between adjacent tiles before installation.

Installation Instructions

Adhesive
On the Wall
Trowel
Notched, min. 5 mm
Joint
Recommended: 1 mm
Pressing
Rubber Float
  1. Check which side must face downward and verify the alignment of the decoration with adjacent tiles.
  2. Suitable adhesives include, for example, H40 No Limits by Kerakoll or Ultralite S2 by Mapei.
  3. Apply the adhesive to the wall with a notched trowel of at least 5 mm — not to the back of the tile, as this is an indoor wall covering.
  4. For the best aesthetic result, install the tiles with a joint of approximately 1 mm.
  5. Press the tile firmly with a rubber float to align it with the adjacent tiles.
Do Not
Do not use mechanical levelling systems: removing them could irreversibly damage the decorated surface.

Cutting and Drilling

Cutting

  • Work on a flat, clean surface
  • Always score from the front side
  • Mark the cutting line with a pencil, avoiding overlaps with the decorative relief
  • Score the relief along the cutting line with a utility knife
  • Finish with 2–3 passes using a conventional tile cutter
  • Remove residue from top to bottom with an abrasive sponge

Drilling

  • Drill without hammer action
  • Tungsten drill bit, repeatedly cooled with water
  • Large holes: continuous-rim diamond hole saws used with a flexible angle grinder
Warning
Never use hammer drilling on the decorated surface: water cooling is essential to prevent thermal cracking. Cutting methods other than those specified may cause the decoration to fray or chip along the edges and are therefore not recommended.

Cleaning and Care

Allowed

  • Water or neutral detergents
  • Degreasing detergent, provided it is not strongly alkaline
  • Soft, non-abrasive cloths

Avoid

  • Alcohol, acetone, solvents
  • Bleach and ammonia
  • Strongly alkaline or acidic products
  • Abrasive pastes, sponges and brushes

Grouting

Use cement-based grout only — do not use epoxy grout. Remove grout residue immediately with water, without using abrasive sponges.
