Environmental transparency

The EPD — Environmental Product Declaration — communicates the environmental performance of a product through verified and comparable data. It is based on Life Cycle Assessment methodology and follows internationally recognised standards.

Materials and indoor quality
From raw material to ceramic surface.
Environmental responsibility also involves the selection of raw materials and the characteristics of the finished ceramic surface. The available documentation provides information on recycled content, restricted substances and indoor emissions.

The environmental documentation reports 9.65% recycled and recovered material content, calculated on the total materials purchased.
Indoor air quality
The protective treatment applied after firing is water-based and contains no VOCs. Surface treatments do not contain formaldehyde-based resins.
Responsible sourcing
For at least 90% of mineral materials, suppliers of virgin materials provide documentation concerning quarry authorisation, environmental assessment and rehabilitation management.
