Diva – light, depth and materiality in Appiani mosaic
Diva is an Appiani ceramic mosaic collection distinguished by the pronounced roundness of its tesserae and an exceptionally glossy glazed surface that captures and reflects light, creating depth, contrast and continuous chromatic variations.
The particular geometry of each tessera transforms the surface into a play of reflections and chiaroscuro, generating a three-dimensional effect that changes according to the viewing angle and the lighting of the space.
Diva is produced using Appiani monopressocottura technology, in which glaze and ceramic body are dry-pressed together before firing. This process integrates colour and material into the tessera and contributes to the aesthetic and performance characteristics of the mosaic.
