Gruppo Bardelli is an Italian group active in ceramics and mosaic, bringing together three brands with distinct identities: Ceramica Bardelli, Ceramica Vogue and Appiani. Together they cover decoration, colour, modularity and ceramic mosaic, for both residential and contract projects.

Yes. Custom Projects brings together the Group's customisation services: made-to-measure colour, custom decorations and collections, Custom Mix, Custom Layout and Custom Create.

It is the technology that defines Appiani ceramic mosaic: previously atomised glazes and bodies are joined by interpenetration through dry pressing. A single firing cycle, at temperatures above 1,200 °C, completes the process.

In the comparison shown in Appiani's technical documentation, the ceramic tile has perpendicular sides, a regular surface and a wide contact area for bonding, with regular grout joints that make grouting and cleaning easier. The comparison refers to the configurations illustrated, not to all glass mosaics on the market.

The technology is always Monopressocottura, while the material of the ceramic body changes: red-body stoneware, fine porcelain stoneware and Full Body, with through-body colouring. The choice depends on the aesthetic and technical result of the collection.

The tiles are pre-mounted on fibreglass mesh sheets of about 30 × 30 cm. The technical documentation illustrates configurations of 1.2 × 1.2 cm, 2.5 × 2.5 cm, 5 × 10 cm and 10 × 10 cm, with a thickness of 7.2 mm. Available formats vary by collection.

For routine maintenance, water, a microfibre cloth and a compatible neutral detergent, such as Litokol X-Cleaner Shine, are enough, without overdosing. For specific stains or residues, choose a targeted product based on the nature of the dirt.

The guide created with Litokol recommends Starlike® Pro, a decorative epoxy gel for installation and grouting with joints from 1 to 20 mm. It offers waterproof, stain-resistant joints and a wide colour choice: the grout becomes part of the design.

No, it is not an automatic step. A protective is only considered when the surface, finish and conditions of use can benefit from it, after checking compatibility with the Appiani product and the grout.
