Lapis – the material character of stone meets Appiani technology
Lapis reinterprets the appeal of natural stone through Appiani ceramic mosaic, combining mineral tones, material depth and the performance of porcelain stoneware. The collection is developed in nine colours inspired by natural stones and earths, designed to create balanced, versatile surfaces for residential, hospitality, wellness and contract environments, both indoors and outdoors.
The surface is created using Appiani monopressocottura technology: ceramic powders and glaze components are mixed and integrated into the tile during pressing and firing. Colour is therefore not simply applied as a liquid surface finish, but built into the material itself, creating chromatic variations and nuances that recall the natural irregularity of stone.
This process gives Lapis a deeper, more authentic and tactile appearance, enhancing each individual tessera and making the surface particularly suitable for architectural design.
The SHIELD+ technology completes the collection with high-performance stain protection, designed to make cleaning and maintenance easier without altering the appearance or material perception of the ceramic surface.
