Palladiana – Italian tradition reinterpreted by Studiopepe
Designed by Studiopepe for Ceramica Bardelli, Palladiana offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the ancient Opus Incertum technique, transforming the irregular juxtaposition of materials and fragments into a new ceramic language.
Micro-patterns, different tactile perceptions and colour nuances coexist within a surface of through-body coloured porcelain stoneware. The palette, a central element of Studiopepe’s design, combines delicate tones, mid-tones and earthy nuances conceived to interact with architecture and furnishings without overpowering them.
The matt, tactile finish enhances the different portions of the surface to the touch. Available in 60×60 cm and 60×120 cm, Palladiana is developed in six different designs that make each composition naturally varied, allowing continuity between floor and wall surfaces.
A meeting of Italian decorative tradition, colour research and contemporary design culture, recognised in 2017 with the Archiproducts Design Award in the Finishing category.
