The collection

Pastelli – Full-body porcelain mosaic by Appiani

Pastelli by Appiani is a collection of full-body porcelain ceramic mosaic tiles: a modular system of colour, small formats and tactile surfaces for contemporary architecture. It combines Italian ceramic tradition, creative layout possibilities and technical performance for distinctive floors and walls.

Made of full body porcelain stoneware, Pastelli tiles are created from pigmented clays and natural oxides pressed throughout the entire mass, ensuring depth of color and exceptional durability. Thanks to exclusive Bioshield+ technology, the surface is stain-resistant, antibacterial, and antifungal, offering permanent protection that keeps its original beauty over time. Easy to clean and highly hygienic, Pastelli is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, spas, and public spaces.

The collection is available in various modular formats – 1.2×1.2 cm, 1.2×3.75 cm, 2.5×2.5 cm, 2.5×2.8 cm, 5×5 cm and 5×10 cm (mounted on 30×30 cm mesh) – and in the 10×10 cm format, both loose and mesh-mounted, with Flat or Texture finishes. This versatility allows customised compositions and tailor-made design solutions.

The color palette of Pastelli comprises sixteen natural and desaturated tones: Neve, Antracite, Cenere, Ostrica, Osso, Burro, Corda, Conchiglia, Nocciola, Miele, Salvia, Ruscello, Muschio, Ottanio, Oceano and Aurora. Soft and sophisticated colors range from neutrals and earth tones to desaturated greens and water-inspired hues, enhancing light and defining harmonious, contemporary atmospheres.

Pastelli interprets full-body ceramic mosaics as a versatile architectural design tool: from uninterrupted fields of colour to custom compositions, with sixteen shades, modular geometries and finishes to select according to each application.

The colour compositions shown are suggested combinations. You can personalise the colours of the catalogue patterns using the 16 Pastelli shades, or develop a bespoke laying pattern with the available tile sizes. For new patterns, the assembly template is produced using 3D printing.
