01 · The project

From the underwater world to the ceramic surface.

Aquatic Creatures grows out of Riccardo Capuzzo's illustrative research and the desire to bring the poetic and mysterious character of the sea onto ceramic surfaces. Hand-drawn illustrations, graphic detail and imaginative visions become a decorative system conceived for interior design.

Whales, turtles, crabs, jellyfish, fish and submerged landscapes create a distinctive visual world for residential, hospitality, restaurant and shared spaces where the wall becomes part of the project's identity.

“These illustrations depict aquatic animals through an imaginative and exuberant lens, hyperbolic portraits of an enchanting marine world that we should understand and protect.”

02 · Mongolfiere

The light elegance of a flying sea.

Mongolfiere begins with an image of complicity: the pufferfish as a presence that can lift, accompany and lighten. The scene becomes a metaphor for collaboration and friendship, turning the marine world into a story suspended between water and sky.

03 · Atlantis City

The fascination of the lost city.

Atlantis City reinterprets the myth of Atlantis as a contemporary decorative landscape. Submerged architecture and mysterious atmospheres create a narrative surface inspired by the fascination of an imagined civilisation in the depths.

04 · Sea Maioliche

Waves, sky and decorative memory.

Sea Maioliche connects decorative tradition with a contemporary vision. Waves, clouds, rocks and boats form a narrative mosaic in which every element retains its own identity while contributing to a broader landscape.

05 · Seaweed

A suspended underwater forest.

Seaweed creates an immersive landscape of seaweed, fish and filtered light. The surface evokes a slow, enveloping ecosystem, bringing a natural, contemplative and strongly decorative presence into interiors.

06 · For design projects

A narrative surface for interior design.

Aquatic Creatures is conceived for architects and interior designers looking for a surface that goes beyond decoration. Illustration, colour, rhythm and perception work together to make the wall covering an identifying element of the space.

The four interpretations — Mongolfiere, Atlantis City, Sea Maioliche and Seaweed — create different atmospheres within one coherent visual universe.
